25th Year Reunion

Foothills Academy recently celebrated their 25th year reunion. We have grown from the germination of a dream to a reality. There have certainly been struggles and triumphs along the way. It was encouraging to hear the stories of those who attended speaking honestly of their own successes and obstacles. The common theme was a heartfelt desire to thank everyone for the opportunity to have attended Foothills Academy. Parents, grandparents, teachers and students echoed the same sentiment of, "I'm not sure where we would be without the intervention and experience at Foothills Academy."

During the reunion, it was recognized that those involved with Foothills Academy "go the extra mile" and exhibit a keen interest in one another. Each of us make a difference and as a team we have all learned and grown together. June 5, 2004 will remain a "beacon" day, shining a light toward a positive, challenging future. This note is a salute to the alumni and current students, parents, volunteers, teachers and supporters of Foothills Academy. The dream is strong; the reality is obvious with the continued need to assist those with Learning Disabilities, child and adult alike.
