About FoothillsWhy is Foothills Academy Different from Other Schools?Foothills Academy plays a major role in advocacy for the child with learning disabilities. Often the Society is the first group to actually listen to parents and to assist them with their unique problems. Foothills Academy provides assistance immediately to parents and professionals alike. If the Academy does not have a satisfactory answer, it will refer parents to other appropriate agencies. Applied and practical research is encouraged at Foothills Academy. Numerous projects are ongoing regarding new teaching technologies; hyperactivity, diet control, family interactions, identification, self-esteem, computer programming, etc. University graduate students use Foothills Academy for research in psychology, education, social work and medicine. |
