Moving Forward: Empowering Young Adults

Moving Forward: Empowering Young Adults with LD and/or ADHD

The transition from high school to adulthood can be tough. The expectations and pressures of the adult world can feel overwhelming at times. However, this transition can also be a time of excitement and possibility if you are prepared and have the right supports.

Moving Forward is a 10-week group program for young adults (ages 18 – 25 with an LD and/or ADHD diagnosis) aimed at helping to ease the adjustment to the adult world. Whether you are continuing your education, working, or somewhere in between, this group (facilitated by a Registered Psychologist) will provide you with knowledge, skills, and support to help make the transition into the adult world smoother. Additionally, it is the aim of the group to help you create connections with peers who are in a similar stage of life. Each week, participants will participate in fun recreational programming (sports, cooking, music, etc.).

By participating in this group, you will learn more about yourself, feel the support of a group of peers, and develop the tools you’ll need to thrive as an adult.
