Parents

The Foothills Academy Parents' Association and the Parent Advisory Committee once again provided leadership and focus to various areas within the School Program. We are indebted to these parents for their active involvement and for their volunteering in so many areas. We raised thousands of dollars for Student Bursaries and for programming needs. As well, this group advocated strongly for more transparent and fair Appeals for placement.

Our students once again excelled at their studies and virtually every student made significant progress in their academic, social, and homework study habits. We are proud of the hard work and diligence of these students and for the staff members that work in such a dedicated and professional manner with them.

The School Program was audited this year by Alberta Learning and we are pleased that we received an "Outstanding" rating by the auditor. Our policies, procedures, professional development, excellent staff members and Board of Governors should be excited and pleased with their truly magnificent dedication to children and their families.

It is through teamwork, partnership, and mutual respect that we continue to move forward and to plan for the future. After twenty years, Foothills Academy is well known in the world for its expertise and child-centered focus. We are proud and honoured by the recognition that we so richly deserve.
