The Read / Write Program

The Read/Write Program provides remedial assistance for children, youth, and adults experiencing reading or writing difficulties and performing at least one year below expected functioning level. Our trained, qualified and experienced educational staff assists many clients not enrolled in the full School Program. Individuals waiting for entrance to the School Program often attend these sessions.

Intensive Remedial Program: a one-on-one 75 hour program is offered in 5 week blocks throughout the school year from September to June. (3 hours per day x 5 days per week x 5 weeks during a morning or afternoon time-frame) This program is designed to address the needs of individuals in the areas of phonemic awareness, reading, writing, spelling and comprehension skills based upon assessments and recommendations. The strategies used are centered around the foundation of the Auditory Discrimination in Depth program.

Cost of program including POST-assessment: $3450.00  Pre-registration with deposit is required.

Saturday Tutoring Programs: one-on-one instruction in the areas of phonemic awareness, reading, writing, spelling and comprehension, as requested by the client to address particular performance needs. Chisanbop Math sessions are also available on Saturdays.

1:1 for 2 hours per Saturday for a renewable contracted time of a minimum of 20 hours. Available continuously throughout the year except July and August.

Cost: $45.00 per hour

Summer Programs 2008: A one-on-one 75 hour program is regularly scheduled for the months of July and August. Dates and times for July are: July 02 to July 29; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. OR 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Dates and times for August are: August 04 to August 29; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. OR 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Holiday "Booster" Programs 2008: 2hrs/day OR 3hrs/day. Ready your child for school! Dates are August 18-22, 2008; August 25-29, 2008 and December 29, 2008-January 2, 2009.

Other programs may be made available at any time throughout the year based on demand.
