Students
Honour Roll
Student achievement is recognized in many ways at Foothills Academy: informally in the classroom and at regular awards assemblies.
In junior school, students participate in monthly assemblies for "On a Roll" awards. On a Roll students are taking responsibility for their success!
These students are:
- conscientious about homework
- motivated about homework
- motivated to do their best
- courteous with peers and staff
- respectful of property
- organized
- responsible
- self-regulated in their behaviour
- participating in discussions
- following instructions
- independent
- applying problem solving strategies
The awards ceremony is held twice a year for the senior school
students, once in December and again in May. The spring Awards Night
was held on May 7, 2003, in the school gym. Awards were presented
in the areas of academics, athletics and citizenship to approximately
ninety of our senior school students! Congratulations to these hard
working students.
First Class Honors: go to students with 80% average or above.
Second Class Honors: go to students with 75% average or above.
Special awards are also presented to deserving students.
