Protecting Our Kids in the Digital Age

Content Warning: This is a 18+ event.

January 16th, 2025. 6:00-8:00 PM

Registration is open.

Join us on the evening of January 16th for an eye-opening presentation about the tactics used by child predators and how to safeguard children in today’s digital world.   Constable Villani delves into how these criminals operate, where they are found online—including social media and gaming platforms—the process of grooming, and the warning signs of a child in danger. Practical strategies for protection will be shared, alongside powerful victim testimonies to highlight the importance of awareness and action. Grandparents, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to gain valuable tools for keeping children safe.

This evening workshop is geared for parents/care-giver/adults. However, we offer childcare for the evening for our Foothills Families. Foothills students (Team 1 & 2) will have the presentation during the school day. If cost is a barrier to your participation in this evening workshop, please don't hesitate to reach out to Bani Puri at bpuri@foothillsacademy.org. We are committed to ensuring that all parents have the opportunity to attend.
