Supporting students with Learning Disabilities (LDs) requires more than understanding a diagnosis, it requires understanding how students learn, process information, experience challenges, and build on their strengths. This 10-hour condensed and targeted version of our 30-hour Inside LD course is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, strategies, and practical tools needed to effectively support students with Learning Disabilities in today's classrooms.
In This Course, You Will:
- Understand the characteristics of reading difficulties (dyslexia), writing difficulties (dysgraphia), and numeracy difficulties (dyscalculia)
- Understand psychoeducational assessments and understand what a diagnosis means in the classroom
- Explore the impact of working memory, processing speed, and executive function on learning
- Understand the social-emotional effects of Learning Disabilities
- Discover practical strategies, accommodations, and supports to help students succeed
- Build student confidence, self-advocacy, and independence
- Access downloadable resources, templates, and tools for your educator toolbox
- Gain confidence in supporting students with Learning Disabilities using evidence-informed practices
