Karen Monner is a Training Coordinator/Clinical Instructor and School Program Lead for the Read/Write & Math Intervention Program at Foothills Academy. Karen has extensive knowledge of foundational skills for literacy and numeracy. As a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist, Karen is passionate about providing students with the instruction and environment that best meets their learning needs. Karen is an animal lover and spends a lot of time taking care of the family zoo.
Carissa Backus is a Training Coordinator and Clinical Instructor for the Read/Write & Math Intervention Program at Foothills Academy. As a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist, Carissa has extensive knowledge of the foundational skills for literacy and numeracy. Carissa is passionate about helping students discover strategies to build confidence in their abilities. Outside of Foothills, she enjoys coaching and playing curling.
