The Roadmap of Psycho-Educational Assessments

November Workshop

This was an informative session that demystified the world of Psychoeducational Assessments (what they measure, why they matter, and how the results can help support student success).  This presentation was led by our Registered Provisional Psychologist, Nicole Macmillan B.A. (Hons), M.Sc.  This session walked you through the process in simple, practical terms — from understanding what’s tested and why, to how the results can guide support at school and home.

We talked about:

  • What’s included in a PsychEd Assessment and how often it’s needed
  • How results are shared and used in schools to support learning
  • Understanding accommodations, stigma, and the teacher’s role
  • Ways to access funding, benefits, or insurance support

Attendees left with a clearer understanding of how assessments can open doors to the right supports to helping your child feel confident and capable at school.
