Coordination Building Blocks Program
Learn movement, balance and more through our Developmental Coordination Disorder program (Grades 3 to 7)
Learn the fundamentals of movement, balance and more through our movement and coordination program. This program will focus on learning fundamental movement skills (walking, skipping, hopping, jumping, running, throwing and kicking) through play based programming with skills being broken down into small steps, and reinforced through small practice activities and then larger games.
Your child does not need to have a DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder) diagnosis to participate in this program. It is open to all children with a Learning Disability or ADHD diagnosis who could benefit from learning some fundamental movement skills.
Grades: 3 to 7
Location: Foothills Academy
Children and youth in grades 3 - 12 can attend Amicus Recreation programs if they meet our Intake Criteria. If your child has not participated in an Amicus or social skills program through Foothills Academy before, the first step is to complete the Intake process prior to registration taking place.
