Psychological Services & Programs

Resources on this page

The Psychological Services and Programs department offers quality, comprehensive psycho-educational assessment, individual and family counselling, and group programming services for children, youth and adults affected by Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD. Our team relies on evidence-based practices in Psychology and Education to guide our practices. We not only seek to understand what a child’s difficulty might be, but also the areas where they can find pride and success.

To allow us to provide services to the community at a reduced cost and to prepare professionals with the knowledge and skill sets to work with our population, we are committed to being a Training Facility. As such, many of our team members are Registered Provisional Psychologists or Masters/ Ph.D. level practicum and internship students from local graduate university programs. All psychologists-in-training are supervised by Registered Psychologists.

Eligibility Criteria

The assessment and counselling services are offered to children (age 5+), adolescents, and adults. Our group programs currently serve children, youth, and young adults with LD and/or ADHD. Participation in these groups requires no significant emotional or behavioural challenges. All group programs require the completion of an intake package to ensure a good fit between the participant and program.
