Program Overview:

Our Multisport 2 program for Grades 7-9 offers a dynamic blend of classic sports and new activities, designed to challenge older teens and help them develop new skills. Each week, participants dive into a different sport—from soccer and ultimate frisbee to badminton and climbing—keeping things exciting and engaging. The variety of activities ensures that every teen has the chance to try something new while building confidence in their abilities.

In addition to the physical activities, each week is paired with a social skill lesson directly related to the sport. These lessons focus on essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, and emotional regulation, allowing teens to practice these skills in a fun, supportive environment. With mature, experienced staff who understand the unique needs of youth with ADHD and learning disabilities, we create a space where teens can thrive socially and athletically, making lasting connections while having a great time.

Weekly Activity Breakdown

Through the Multisport 2 program, youth will engage in a wide variety of sports and activities, including timeless classics like soccer, hockey, and basketball, along with camp favorites such as gaga ball and belly baseball. We also partner with the experts at Bolder Elevated to offer an introductory rock climbing and belay session at their new facility. While this depends on their schedule, we've been able to consistently book these sessions over the past year.

Each session is tailored to the interests of the participants, ensuring a fresh and exciting experience each week. However, most programs follow a structure similar to the one outlined below:

  • Week 1: Gaga Ball & Team Contract
  • Week 2: Soccer & Zones of Regulation
  • Week 3: Badminton & Entering Conversations
  • Week 4: Ultimate Frisbee & Language Interpretation
  • Week 5: Rock Climbing and Communication and Overcoming Challenges
  • Week 6: Basketball and What Others are Thinking
  • Week 7: Belly Baseball and Social Problem Solving
  • Week 8: Camper’s Choice & Celebration

Intake Criteria:

If your child has not participated in an Amicus or social skills program through Foothills Academy before, a Parent Intake Form must be completed and returned to the Intake Coordinator.

We chose to re-enroll in the Multisport program because our son WANTED to! This is huge. He feels included there and wants to participate. The program is great and the staff are very knowledgeable and inclusive. — Amicus Parent
