Foothills Academy is a unique place!
- We have been leaders in supporting LD and ADHD since we began in 1979.
- We are the only school in southern Alberta that is solely a Designated Special Education Private School (DESPS) focused on serving students with diagnosed Learning Disabilities.
- We specialize in the best practices to meet the individual needs of our students, academically, socially and emotionally.
- We place a strong value on financial inclusivity, and our community (staff, families, and supporters) work hard to raise 1 Million dollars each year to fund a bursary so that financial barriers do not prevent a young person from accessing our School, or our Community Services.
What else do you need to know?
- Our school students must have a diagnosed Learning Disability or Specific Learning Disorder (such as Dyslexia). You can read our admission criteria here: https://www.foothillsacademy.org/our-school/admissions/criteria
